The Supreme Court of the United States issues decisions that determine the scope of presidential power, the rights of immigrants, the regulation of financial markets, the conditions of foreign investment, and the rules governing American elections. Its rulings reach into every sector of the economy and every dimension of civic life. Yet many people affected by these decisions never read the Court's opinions or understand how they apply in practice. Investors price risk without knowing the legal architecture that governs their markets. Immigrants navigate systems shaped by cases they have never heard of. Corporations operate under regulatory frameworks whose constitutional foundations shift without warning. The Lakinberg Supreme Court Research Center was founded to close that gap.

THE 100-YEAR PROJECT
One Hundred Years. Every Decision. One Repository
The Center’s flagship research initiative is the systematic review, analysis, and cataloguing of every Supreme Court decision issued between 1926 and 2026: one hundred years of jurisprudence, case by case, doctrine by doctrine. For each decision, LSRC researchers produce a comprehensive analytical record documenting the citation, holding, reasoning, constitutional provisions involved, subsequent treatment, practical significance, and long-term impact on American law. The outcome of this initiative will be the Lakinberg Encyclopedia of United States Supreme Court Decisions (1926 to 2026): the most comprehensive private repository of constitutional and federal legal scholarship in the United States.
